It’s been an excellent first three weeks at the Vegan Pantry. We’re honored at the reception we’ve received and the welcoming we’ve gotten from the neighborhood.
On April 4th we had our ribbon cutting ceremony, where we were joined by Catherine Piciulo and Rose Collins from the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda Chamber of Commerce, trustee Christopher Ring, and friends and family. It was a soft opening filled with big scissors and biodegradable confetti canons.
The next day we had our grand opening. People were in and out the entire day, enjoying chips and kombucha, and a basket raffle for every customer. A gift certificate for Stay Weird Tattoo in particular was a popular choice. We were so happy to hear from all of you that were excited to have us in the neighborhood! We had visitors from as far as Wilson to as close as a few doors down Courier Blvd.

We’ve been taking suggestions for products to bring in since we opened, and there was definitely an influx on opening day. We’ve been able to bring in many of these foods, including the much requested Soy Curls, Thrilling Foods Bakon Strips, salmon sashimi, and much more! Not only are we happy to bring these products to you, it’s exciting to try them for ourselves.
It’s been a joy meeting those who have visited us after the opening as well. We are overjoyed to continue serving this excellent community in the coming years, and to make vegan eating more accessible for all!
